baptism

"Buried with Christ in baptism, raised to walk in the newness of life."

About Baptism

  • Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change. We are baptized after we've surrendered our lives to Jesus and submitted to His Lordship.
  • We baptize by immersion after salvation through Jesus.

Why are we baptized?

  • We are baptized as a symbol to show others that we identify with Christ: His life, His death, and His resurrection.
  • Jesus set the example for baptism. We are baptized as an act of obedience to Christ's leadership.
Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to his faith in the final resurrection of the dead.
